For this project, I had the idea to create space cards for kids to get them more interested in science/space/the outdoors, and also off their devices because I find kids are too addicted to technology these days. My concept for the cards was to make them fun and interesting to look at, yet educational at the same time.

I chose to focus on the 12 zodiac constellations for these AstroCards because I feel that they are the most recognizable and kids have some knowledge about them. The cards feature 3 fun facts about the constellation, as well as how to find it in the sky, when the best time to see it is, and when the sun passes in front of it. To make my idea come to life, I had the cards laser cut on acrylic so that the middle is transparent. This way, the kids can hold the cards up to the sky and line them up with the real constellations.
